Fine Here Is A New Post

I haven't killed or caught anything extravagant since January. I guess I could have put up some cute pictures of Janna playing in the dirt or something, but I didn't. I guess I could put up some pregnant pictures of Jessica to, but I haven't. I guess I am just to lazy. But to all of you who have been bugging me to post something because you are to bored and have nothing better to do than sit around and read everyone's latest post I have just made your day. Well, maybe not your whole day but at least the last few minutes.

I scored 9 points

So, me and Jessica went hunting last weekend so she can kill a deer this year. On the first morning hunt Jessica did real good till about 8:00. She was pretty tired and decided to take a nap. I told here If I saw anything I would wake here up so she could shoot it. I warned her though, that if a buck came moving through fast I would have to take the shot. She elected to take a nap still. Rightfully so we really hadn't seen anything all morning. 20 minutes later you could probably guess what happened. Yep that's right, a big buck came rolling trough and yours truly had to put him down. I was nice enough to wake up Jessica so she could cover her ears before I shot though. I am such a loving husband.

Memories Colorado 03'

Today I found some old hiking pictures from a trip I took with EBAG (East Bayou Adventure Group). This trip was one of the high points of my life. I still can't believe that it actually happened. It was amazing and I can't wait to bring my family back one day.

Here we are at the trail head. From this point on you survive with what's on your back.

More to come tomorrow

Which One Would You Shoot

If both of these bucks walked out into a field that you were hunting over, which one would you shoot first.

Rainy Days

It is another rainy day in south Louisiana. I really wanted to go to work today. Work is good for keeping the mind busy and staying at home, well not so good. It seems as if it has been raining a lot lately. There is one thing about the rain that will always remain true. It is always raining. Some times I enjoy the showers, they are refreshing and revive me. Other times I become totally engulfed by the storm and feel like I am drowning. It is in these moments that I see what I am made of. So many times I have wanted to give up and just let the storm take me away. It seems as if there is nothing else I can do. I have fought with all of the strength that I have and I have nothing else to give. I gave it my all, I tried, I really tried. And at that moment I finally realize that there was never anything that "I" could do. With my last breath I finally cry out to You and rely on Your strength to pull me through... and You do. How can You love me so much to keep coming back to me even after I betray You time and time again. You are awesome, I will praise You forever. Thanks for reminding me that it is not about me again.

AMEN!

New Job

Thanks everyone so much for your prayers. I started a new old job yesterday. I am working for David Plunkett again. He is an awesome man of God to work for and things are brightening up all ready. It still isn't what I fell called to do but at least the environment is better and I do like the experience. The first day was interesting to say the least but that is a new post all on its own.

Tonights Prayer "Tired"

This weekend you gave me the opportunity to lead worship at a Jr. high retreat. I had a blast, it was like I was doing what I am created to do. I love working with youth, it just brings me joy. But now back to reality. I had to go back to work this morning, at my "real job". I hated it. All day long I just wanted to leave and never go back. I am so tired of working because I have to pay the bills. When can I work because I love it again. I miss those days so much. I know I am the one that screwed it up. Please give me away to be happy at work again, no matter what I am doing.

Amen.

You are Loved

Oh my precious Janna. How do you know you are loved? It's simple, just look around you.

Fun on the Lake

While we were in Newellton dove hunting we stayed on Lake Bruin. Every year whe we go we spend our free time playing in the lake. This year was one of the best, because the lake was about five feet normal than average. We had an extra five feet to fly before we hit the water. Yea!!!

It's Finally Here!!! (Scott)

Dove hunting has been a BLAST this year. Here is some of the pics from our adventure.

P.S. if you don't like seeing dead animals do not scroll down. If you are like me and see your next meal instead of a dead animal tham please proceed.

MMMmmmm they tasted so good. So for we have all ready have had pot roasted dove and bacon rapped dove. So good! I would have included those pics to, but we ate it to fast

Coming soon

The long awaited pictures from the dove hunt are coming soon. Unfortunately, me and Jessica did not take all the pictures with our camera so I have to gather them up from my mom and Scott. But I promise I will get them up soon. For now here is a picture of the most beautiful little girl in the world. At least me and Jessica think so. I love those baby blue eyes.

Fair Warning!

This is a warning for all mourning doves residing in Tensas parish. One week from now dove season will be opening. If you wish to survive this event leave the surounding area immediately. The Head family is coming, I repeat the HEAD family is coming (that includes Scott off course). They are presumed to be heavily armed and very dangerous. They will not spare woman nor children. No dove is safe, I repeat no dove is safe. All doves taste the same in their eyes. Above is a picture of two of the casualties from last year, along with their assassins. If you have made plans to visit the sun flower feilds in the Newellton area on labor day weekend, change your plans immidiately. This is not a test, you have been advised!!!

A Day at Work

Jessica came buy work today and surprised me with an Old Tyme Po-Boy, and boy was it good. She brought me an Old Tyme special of course, loaded with meat and drippin that wonderful gravy. The messier the better. Anyway while she was there she broke out the camera and took a few pics of me at work. So to answer the question of what do you do know, here it is. Well at least this is some of what I do. I also do woodwork, painting, machanic work and the list goes on. Pretty much whatever my boss tells me to do. Speaking of bosses, they guy standing next to me is my overseer. His name is Tim and he is the man.

It wasn't me!

Me and Jessica were fixing supper last night and we left Janna alone with a cup of yogurt. The rest is history.
